SOLVING THE RIDDLE OF
WORLDWIDE COMPUTER AND MODEM USE

Telephone adapter
The RJ-11 is the closest telephone jack to being universal, and is spreading rapidly. (It is the one found in North America.) If your computer/modem is designed for it,
you do not need an adapter when visiting a country with the same system. The product numbers for other telephone adapters are given for
countries with different systems. Some countries have two or more possibilities.
Country:
* means tax impulses likely present; a line filter is needed.
+ means public phones may require coin or card.
Country code:
Used when dialing to a certain country from another country. There also may be a city code, but they are not listed in our index yet.
IDD Prefix:
Used when dialing from a certain country to another country. The IDD would then be followed by the country code. In some countries direct dialing is not available and you may need to use the operator.
+ means there will be a second tone after dialing the IDD prefix
Sprint access numbers:
For use with Sprint calling cards. Please note we have no affiliation with Sprint and only provide their access numbers as a public service.
! means country only allows calling back to the U.S.
ATT access numbers:
