Step-Up Transformers

These transformers are step-up / step-down, meaning they work both with international appliances in North America as well as with North American appliances internationally. The transformers accept two prong European plugs; the # 4G adapter needed with other plug types. (The # 4G adapter will work with any style plug except South Africa.) Transformers are fuse protected. Be sure to check the wattage of your appliances before plugging it. Note many products use extra power at start up.

Heavy Duty Step Up Transformers UL Listed

These are the cream of the crop step up (reverse) grounded transformers which allow 220/240 volt appliances to operate in North America. Designed and built for continuous use with all types of 220/240 volt appliances and electronic devices. (Transformers do not convert cycles and some products like microwave ovens, electric typewriters, turntables, and others may not operate normally. Most will, but it is best to consult the manufacturer.) Important safety features include isolated transformers, Nema 5-15 power cords/plugs, and replaceable fuse protection. Listed in both the USA and Canada by Underwriters Laboratories. One year manufacturer's limited warranty. They're heavy and expensive, but are the best.
