Remember, adapter plugs do not convert electricity --
converters and transformers do that. Adapters just convert the plug style.

To convert all style plugs to North American (except European "Schuko" and South African) use the #7G adapter.

Our 40 watt reverse transformer is for electric or electronic appliances up to 40 watts, such as CD players, cassette recorders, radios, calculators, shavers, etc. UL listed, it comes with a limited one-year manufacturer's warranty. (1 1/2 Ibs, 3 1/4 x 2 inches.) Accepts two prong round European plugs; #4G adapter needed with other plug types. (4G adapter will work with any style plug except South Africa.)

Heavy Duty Step Up Transformers UL Listed

These are the cream of the crop step up (reverse) grounded transformers which allow 220 volt appliances to operate in North America. (We also stock non-grounded step-up transformers, listed at the bottom of the page.) Designed and built for continuous use with all types of 220/240 volt appliances and electronic devices. (Transformers do not convert cycles and some products like microwave ovens, electric typewriters, turntables, and others may not operate normally. Most will, but it is best to consult the manufacturer.) Important safety features include isolated transformers, Nema 5-15 power cords/plugs, and replaceable fuse protection. Listed in both the USA and Canada by Underwriters Laboratories. One year manufacturer's limited warranty. They're heavy and expensive, but are the best.
