Type M Travel Adapter (16A Round Pin)
Type M plugs are a heavy-duty grounded plug system featuring three large round pins arranged in a triangular pattern. The design originates from the British BS 546 standard and is used for higher-current (typically 15–16 amp) electrical connections.
Type M geometry is standardized in different countries under different national standards, including South Africa (SANS 164-1) and India (IS 1293, 16A system).

Electrical standard: typically 220–240 V / 50 Hz.
Adapters do not convert voltage.
A Type M travel adapter, also commonly sold as a Type M travel adaptor or BS 546 16A adaptor plug, changes plug shape only. It does not convert voltage.
This grounded adapter accepts not just U.S. plugs but plug styles from all countries, except Type M South Africa plugs. However, Type E/F Schuko-style plugs will not be grounded.
