Bolivia Travel Adapters

Bolivia is a landlocked country in central South America bordered by Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, and Peru. Known for its diverse geography that includes the Andes Mountains, the high Altiplano plateau, and parts of the Amazon Basin, Bolivia has a rich cultural heritage shaped by Indigenous civilizations and Spanish colonial history. The constitutional capital is Sucre, the seat of government is La Paz, and the currency is the Boliviano.

Bolivia uses mains electricity supplied at about 230 volts at 50 Hz. Wall outlets use plug designs including Type A, Type B, Type C, and Type F sockets. Travelers from regions that use different plug types should bring a compatible travel adapter. Visitors from 120V countries should confirm that their devices support 100–240V input or use an appropriate voltage converter.

Plug types are listed because they are encountered in at least some installations. Presence may be partial, legacy, mixed, or situational. A travel adapter, also spelled travel adaptor, changes plug fit only; a voltage converter, sometimes searched as a voltage convertor, is needed only for devices that are not dual voltage. No plug type is excluded due to limited or declining use. Type F adapters are also known as Schuko style.
