Malaysia Travel Adapters

Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia consisting of two regions separated by the South China Sea: Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo. It is bordered by Thailand, Indonesia, and Brunei. The capital city is Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia is known for its diverse cultures, tropical rainforests, and modern cities.

Malaysia uses mains electricity supplied at 240 volts at 50 Hz. Wall outlets use Type C, Type D, and Type G plugs. Travelers from regions that use different plug types should bring a compatible travel adapter. Visitors should confirm that their electronic devices support 100–240V input or use an appropriate voltage converter if necessary.

Plug types are listed because they are encountered in at least some installations. Presence may be partial, legacy, mixed, or situational. A travel adapter, also spelled travel adaptor, changes plug fit only; a voltage converter, sometimes searched as a voltage convertor, is needed only for devices that are not dual voltage. No plug type is excluded due to limited or declining use.
