Type D Travel Adapter (BS 546)
Type D plugs (formally designated BS 546) have three round pins arranged in a triangular pattern. This older plug design is still encountered in parts of South Asia and in legacy installations elsewhere.

Adapters do not convert voltage.
A Type D travel adapter, also commonly sold as a Type D travel adaptor or BS 546 adaptor plug, changes plug shape only. It does not convert voltage.
This grounded adapter accepts not just U.S. plugs but plug styles from all countries, except Type M South Africa plugs. However, Type E/F Schuko-style plugs will not be grounded.
