The European grounded plug (also called the "Schuko plug") requires a special grounded collar before it is used with other adapters. It will plug into other grounded adapters without the collar, but will not be grounded (earthed.) Our heavy duty transformers (100 watt, 300 watt, 500 watt, 750 watt, and 1500 watt) all are built with the European grounded plug, as is the Eurosurge surge protector. To use one of the transformers, the Eurosurge in other countries, or to adapt the European grounded plug to another adapter, get the # 4GF collar, and then the adapter you need for the country you are visiting.
