Everybody is. What converter do I need? What adapter do I need? What's the difference between an adapter and a converter, anyway? Even computer hackers and rocket scientists throw up their hands trying to solve this dilemma. We've solved it. Our Hi-Lo Combination Converter/Transformer Kit is the solution to a problem only modern mankind has faced. Contains a dual circuit converter\transformer with five plug-in adapters which fit almost every 2-pin (non grounded) electrical outlet Homo sapiens has invented. The converter/transformer has a high switch for appliances between 50 and 1650 watts (hair dryers, etc.) and a low switch for equipment under 50 watts. Accepts 2-pin, polarized equipment. Low setting can be used for items like battery chargers (perfect for digital camera or camcorder chargers); high setting is for non-electronic items like hair dryers. Our Hi-Lo Converter/Transformer is the cream of the crop, and contains a safety fuse to prevent damage to appliances. Travel is complicated enough; take our Hi-Lo Converter/ Transformer. The Big Transformers: Big Bertha, and the Mother of All Transformers.

Higher wattage appliances require specialized transformers. They can be quite large and extremely heavy; not recommended for those with the world on their backs. Our larger transformers (and the # 100) all step 220V down to 110V, and accept 2-pin, polarized and 3-pin grounded appliances. They are fuse protected with a LED red light indicating power source. Unlike converters, they may be left on for long stretches of time. Transformer's grounded European plug will fit most countries in Europe. (Adapters available for all other countries. Click here for adapters which work with the 300, 500, 750 and 1500 watt transformers.) Always check the wattage of your appliance to determine which transformer is best for you. (Note: These are heavy units, so extra shipping costs apply.) Transformers do not convert cycles (60 Hz North America vs. 50 Hz in most other countries) and some appliances may not operate normally overseas, including: televisions, microwave ovens, analog clocks, and old turntables.
